| Burnay wins Burns Handicap Trophy (Posted 28 Jun 08) Sue Burnay took the Burns Handicap 25 mile trophy at the time trial on Wednesday June 25th. On a very windy night which tested the riders to the limit on the A4 Theale-Thatcham course, Sue headed the riders list with a corrected time of 53 mins 34 seconds, followed by Ian Grose (54-44) and Rog Davis (54-53). Fastest on raw time on the night was Tristan Davenne (PCA Ciclos Uno) in 55 mins 17 secs, followed by Ian Reece (Newbury RC) in 57-58 and third was Barry Tooke (North Hants RC) with 59-24. Some riders opted for a 10 mile TT in view of the conditions, and these were led home by club supervet Dave Jones in 26-08. On his very first time trial, Jason Marshall posted a very creditable time of 30-52.
